305IVE and friends: Entry 1 - prioritising yourself over everything else

305IVE and friends: Entry 1 - prioritising yourself over everything else

1.Tell us a random thought/discovery about yourself

I started struggling with my mental health in 2019 and I’m still learning how to live with this unwanted roommate (as I like to call it) but one thing I discovered about myself during these times is that I’m way stronger than I thought. I had many times where I thought about completely giving up but I kept fighting and I never surrendered to the struggle. My mom is the strongest fighter I know and I think she passed that on to me!

2.Your favourite self care thing to do is..

Turn off my phone, do some skincare and turn on my favorite music (and have a little dance in my room at times) or watch a movie/series

3.What does self care mean to you?

To me, self care is putting yourself first and prioritizing yourself over everything else. I’ve always been a giver and I always put my 100% in things but I realized that sometimes you just need a break and focus on YOU. Whether it is just a “me, myself and I” time or something more serious.

4.What is one thing you are not putting up with anymore?

I’m learning to stop giving my all to people who don’t even deserve a second of my time. Also being taken for granted, disrespect, lies and being treated like an option are not tolerated anymore here.

5.What is your favourite 305IVE statement and why

(I know you have a lingerie set inspired by me BUT lol) My fave statement goes to “My Body My Business” - I’ve been dealing with comments on my body/appearance since I was in middle school and that affected the way I see myself a lot also when my online presence was bigger I dealt with so many offensive comments about myself and that threw me into that “not being able to love myself” loop once again. So the MBMB piece spoke to me because I have always thought that everyone is free to do whatever they want with their bodies and to express themselves the way they want to. I am a firm believer of the “if you don’t have anything nice to say just don’t say it” saying and I really think that if we loved each other more we’d be much happier.

Much love,

Lu xx
